Here at Splendid Taxi, we take your privacy seriously. We’ll only ever use your personal information to manage your account or to provide the products and services you’ve asked for.
As part of any website-related service, Splendid Taxi collects and processes personal data relating to website visitors. Splendid Taxi is committed to being transparent about how it collects and uses that data and in meeting its data protection obligations.
What information does Splendid Taxi collect?
Splendid Taxi collects a range of information about you. This includes:
- your name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone number;
How does the Company collect personal data?
Splendid Taxi collects this information in a variety of ways. For example, data might be contained in application forms, obtained from identity documents, or collected through surveys or other forms of collaboration, including online forms.
Splendid Taxi will also collect personal data about you from third parties, such as references supplied by vendors or service providers. Splendid Taxi will seek information from third parties only if we would like to have a contractual relationship with you and will inform you that we are doing so.

Data will be stored on your application record and on other IT systems (including email).
Why does Splendid Taxi process personal data?
Splendid Taxi needs to process data to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you. It also needs to process your data to enter into a contract with you.
In some cases, Splendid Taxi needs to process data to ensure that it is complying with its legal obligations.
Where the Company relies on legitimate interests as a reason for processing data, it has considered whether or not those interests are overridden by the rights and freedoms of website visitors and has concluded that they are not.
Splendid Taxi will not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.
How does the Company protect data?
Splendid Taxi takes the security of your data seriously. It has internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by our employees in the proper performance of their duties.
For how long does the Company keep data?
Splendid Taxi will hold your data on file for six months after the end of the relevant business process. If you agree to allow the Company to keep your personal data on file, the Company will hold your data on file for a further two years for consideration for future engagement opportunities. At the end of that period or once you withdraw your consent, your data is deleted or destroyed.
As a data subject, you have a number of rights. You can:
- access and obtain a copy of your data on request;
- require Splendid Taxi to change incorrect or incomplete data;
- require Splendid Taxi to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing;
- object to the processing of your data where Splendid Taxi is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for processing; and
- ask Splendid Taxi to stop processing data for a period if data is inaccurate or there is a dispute about whether or not your interests override the Company’s legitimate grounds for processing data.

You can make a subject access request by completing the Company’s form for making a subject access request which is available from our website.
What if you do not provide personal data?
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to Splendid Taxi during the business engagement process. However, if you do not provide the information, the Company may not be able to process your request, or process it at all.
